ARDIF

ARDIF is a French artist based in Paris. During his architectural studies, he became interested in the aesthetics of buildings and machines at various scales.
Today, his work explores the possible hybridizations between architecture/machine and nature. His "mechanimals" series illustrates this graphic universe and has been visible on the walls of the capital since 2016, as well as internationally (New York, London...).
The natural symmetry of the animal allows for a composition that plays on the contrast of materials, scales, and textures. This urban fauna creates a contrast that prompts us to question the impact of the artificialization of nature or, conversely, the wild and primitive instinct to be rediscovered in our urban lives.
