JAN KALAB

Born in Czechoslovakia in 1978, Jan Kaláb studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague — the city where he continues to live and work — and held his first solo exhibition there in 2008. Solo and group shows in numerous countries followed, tracing the arc of a growing international recognition.
His work has entered the collections of major institutions worldwide, among them the Albin Polasek Museum in Florida, the National Czech & Slovak Museum in Iowa, the MAXXI Museum in Rome, and the Museu de Arte Moderna in São Paulo.
