NILKO

Nilko is a Parisian graffiti artist born in 1979 who began doing graffiti in the mid-1990s.
He formed the W73 crew with Jaye (which also included DMV—Da Mental Vaporz—members, as well as Lime, now known as GrisOne, Heng, and Jaw). He sometimes teams up with the artist Bom.K (DMV) to create powerful collaborative murals. At that time, the release of the Graffiti Instincts DVD and their intense activity on large-scale mural productions propelled them into the spotlight, inspiring in their wake many followers who later achieved fame (such as Sofles, Katun, and Maye).
Nilko is a member of the Dutch crew LoveLetters (founded in 2006). He is known for his speed of execution and his keen sense of detail, which he displays in both his murals and his studio work. Over the years, he has honed his skills in graffiti, illustration, comic books, animation, and fashion design.
From the Palais de Tokyo, the Grand Palais, and the Tour Paris 13 to the STRAAT Museum in Amsterdam and Djerbahood on the island of Djerba, his work primarily revolves around a graphic universe heavily inspired by hip-hop imagery.
