YSEULT

Yseult YZ Digan is a French-British artist born in 1975. She made a name for herself in the early 2000s with Open Your Eyes, a series of engaged portraits displayed in public spaces in Paris and later around the world. Driven by a humanistic and contextual approach to portraiture, she explores questions of identity and memory.
Her work has been presented in major international institutions, including the Centre Pompidou in Paris and the ArtScience Museum in Singapore. In 2017, she created Marianne l’engagée, the new face of everyday postage stamps in France.
After living and working in England, Senegal, and Ivory Coast, YZ now lives in Brittany, where she is developing Keyll Forêt Jardin, a research and experimentation space focused on resilience, the living world, and new modes of creation.
